This is my favourite out of the two this evening although obv I like the other one too, else I wouldn't have posted it!

One of the best playsuits I have seen this winter. It's so bold you are bound to turn heads.

I absolutely love these shoes and as soon as I saw them I imagined them paired with the orange playsuit (and black tights). You have to agree it's a fabulous combination!
The jumpsuit doesn't need much embellishment so keep it simple but interesting with this snakeskin bangle.

Hope you're inspired!

And it's back to party

Bonsoir. Two posts tonight in an attempt to make up for the 3 days I've missed because I know you've missed them (haha)...also it's an excuse not to read and who wouldn't jump at that opportunity?

I would probably take the cardigan off as soon as possible to show off the corset and because the outfit will look less cutesy without it howevs you've gotta be prepared for the cold so do it in style with this gem!

You could go tights or tightness with this. Me being me, and this  being winter,  I would probably go tights and I think they would bring the shoes and skirt together better!

How handy, matching ring and earrings that are actually nice! Team with a high bun and maybe work a bit of a metallic smokeyeye et voila, que guapa seas!

Hasta muy pronto!

Daytime Outfit no.1

Inspired by my housemate Niall, I decided to go for a possible Christmas day outfit instead of Christmas party. Pretty cute, no?

I'm a little bit obsessed with this ring so I've added it in for a little bit of day-time glamour =)

Feeling christmassy?

Wish-list no.3

I couldn't decide which shoe/tights combo I preferred so you can decide =)

This corset-body is not really going to be on view because the Kimono will function as a dress, but you're going to need something underneath the kimono 'just incases' (as Aurelia would say) and it's too nice to leave on the hanger...

I'm not a huge accessory fan so I don't think I'd add anything except maybe this rather interesting ring.

Christmas Outfit Wish-list no.2

I love these shorts and the top is so elegant. Combining the two with black tights and these courts will = chic party glam. Keep accessories simple to maximise the outfit's effect et voilĂ , that is one hot party outfit right there.
What do you think?

Politically Fashionable

So the Miss Ulster finals are being held in Stormont this evening. Some people may be surprised that Stormont would hold such an event, I'm more surprised to discover that Miss Ulster is an actual pageant. However on a more serious note, this has been a point of contention among politicians; some have apparently received letters of complaint whilst others have agreed to be judges.

Belfast born fashion designer Christopher O'Reilly designed these two dresses to mark the first ever Miss Ulster finals. It is an image that should have as much resonance in politics as it does in fashion; even now, 30 years after the height of the troubles, it is rare to see the Union Jack and the Tricolour side by side unless in a quest to intimidate the other.

It isn't hard to understand why people would consider Stormont to be an inappropriate setting, given that fashion and beauty pageants seem somewhat frivolous compared to the serious political affairs that take place in the Parliament buildings. Yet surely any event that brings Northern Irish politics to the forefront in a positive manner can only be good? Stormont is representative of a harmonious Northern Ireland, but we all know that that harmony is more often than not an ideal rather than a reality. A major path to finding peace is believing in it, and the only way everyone will believe in it is to be reminded that it is possible, so using a beauty pageant to remind ourselves that our goal for a peaceful community is attainable is certainly no bad thing. The only problem I can see is the state of those dresses.

Christmas Outfit Wishlist No.1.

Second year is a bitch let me tell you; the amount of work leaves me with little time to write a detailed blog 2/3 times a week, so instead I thought I'd trail the internet (or in today's case, the Topshop website) and create a new christmas-(party)-inspired outfit each day. Here is today's, what do you think?

I'm loving the maxi/midi style atm and with the V-neck and thigh slit in this, demure becomes a little bit sexy.

Team with these amazing heels to prevent black becoming dull and predictable and make sure everyone has style-envy.

I'm not normally a huge fan of accessories but these will add a not-too-empowering  final touch to a sophisticated outfit. Team with a high bun, red lips and minimal eyes and I promise you, you are ready to wow.

Apologies for the fact that you are going to have to use your imagination to see the completed outfit but unfortunately my student budget does not stretch as far as me being able to buy all these wonderful clothes and putting them together myself in a photo. At least it's better than reading.

It's the stuff dreams are made of.

On the off chance that anyone missed me and is wondering why after 4 posts I seemed to disappear, let me just say that, 1) You don't miss a good thing until it's gone (that thing being the internet) and 2) bringing a bowl of (boiling) water near your laptop will never end well, so take my advice and don't do it.

Now that everything is back in working order here's hoping my posting will be too!

For this evening, an enchanting quote by Ralph Lauren,
“I don't design clothes. I design dreams.”
What an amazing mentality it would be to have, to think that every morning when we get dressed we are not putting on clothes but we are instead dressing ourselves in dreams. Granted it's a little over-indulgent and perhaps a bit naive, but then again that's what fashion is. Try losing yourself in a waking dream (waking being the key word, or the chances are you're going to be late) tomorrow morning and avoid the monday blues.
